If there are two people more feared by certain groups of people that are not named Maino or Chris Brown, I’d like to know who they are. Maino is feared by the population of humans armed with the knowledge that he could basically do anything he wants with them whenever he wants and the Bang Bang Anywhere Gang will make sure everything goes according to plan, even if they do drink funny looking alcohol. And Chris Brown is feared by the population of women that are smaller, don’t weigh much and are basically defenseless against his killer jabs and body shots. Fellas, there’s no need to be afraid of Chris Brown. He only punches women.
Anyway, these two collab’ing is probably the worst idea I’ve heard since a certain rapper collab’ed with Just Blaze and T-Pain. The title of this mess is “Don’t Be Scared,” but what’s really scary is the lack of chemistry right here.
Chris Brown whines about not being scared while Maino complains that some girl he likes has friends who are haters. Wait a minute, didn’t Maino already have something to say about haters? He’ll go on to say that even though he’s ‘hood, he’s a good guy. The second verse is pretty similar, where he talks about how his pants sag and he’s a thug who’s trying to do right by his lady even though the girl’s friends are still hating and he wears a bandanna. The third verse has Maino going from complaining to using reverse psychology, which may work, as he tells the girl that “all the haters want to see” her doubt him and to “tell me you don’t want me/Look me in my face, say you’re never gonna call me/Tell me you don’t wanna open up and give me all that/Feel on my tattoos, touch where I’m scarred at/I guess I’m trying just a bit much/You care what other people think so I’ma give it up.”
Then Chris Brown whines some more. Horrible. With every leak I’m anticipating If Tomorrow Comes less and less.
And Maino claims his life is a movie for the 2,347 time.
