We know that Five can actually rhyme, but really, if there’s war going on in the streets, would you really have time to put words together? Hey, it worked for Francis Scott Key.

To be honest Street Wars and Street Wars South is probably one of the biggest mixtapes series on the east cost as far as the streets. Also me and my ppls hear Five music a lot in the hood in NY nowadays along w D Block and Max B you hear Five music the most right now when you ridin through the hood mainly Brooklyn and the Bronx (BM) where i be at.

I know who Francis Scott Key is and I’ve gone over this 50 times but it’s not clear what the writer means. Rappers are suppose to rap about what they see or have done, it’s entertainment. what does it have to do with wars in the street? are you saying rappers should be waring in the street…even if they talk about it that still doesn’t mean they should be out in the street because they are artist and we need our artist around to paint pictures for the world. if you listen a lot of rappers talk about old wars and try to get the young to take another route. if ur a rapper and want to make it stay out of the wars unless ur life depends on it we need you around to make music. if your in a war and you need backup and you don’t know who to get right away stay in the house.

The industry has been playing it safe for the last couple of years which isn’t actual matching the struggle people are experiencing in recession times. Some of the best original hip-hop came during times of struggle in the 80′s so for labels and fans to shy away from the streets doesn’t add up. Senseless violence is wack but the fact that people are starvin out there and are forced to compete with each other is a real occurrence so I ask. “Is it Ok to look down on those stuck in hood environments were it is survival of the fittest just because violence is occuring and you are not in that environment”. I say that to say this I am not a gangster or thug but I listen to Five and from his word play and the HHG interview I read I can assume that he is intelligent but chooses to rhyme about the hood, girls, guns, jail, and the state of hip hop. I can’t relate to the guns and jail but I respect the poetry/story but I can relate to the girls and the state of hip hop so i like him as an artist and will continue to support him AS LONG AS HE DOESN’T FALL OFF and keeps making good music.

shout out to 730 for starting a new site! also it might be too late Gully I was in Club Aspen after the Puerto Rican day parade and it got crazy in there!!! i didn’t see Five but the dude Wink thats with Five in the WorldStar footage and some of Five boyz ran Red Cafe and about 15 of ppl out of the club. Word in BK is Red’s boy sent dudes in there with Shakedown hoodies to confront Wink and the Stone World dudes about the WorldStar footage and that Stone World and them mopped Red Cafe crew up and had them running out the club. After it started I was bck twd the bathroom watchin it was chaos and I also saw one of the dudes with a Shakedown hoodie knock out cold in front of the club with security around him…so i hope it don’t escalate but I know one of the promoters and they mad at Red Cafe and his ppl because the Stone World dudes had bought a table and was chillin for hours with no problem and then Red ppls came in there and started some BS. Yo Red and them took the biggest loss ever it was bad…everybody in Brooklyn callin them Shookdown now and sayin that got the asses wooped and was jumpin over tables tryin to get out of the club
