dam i must’ve missed the first round when it was first up here, i need to submit something! but honestly Yall can’t be serious, i thought this 2nd round was worse then the 1st round, that first dude loses off the bat for not being original, what a dickrider! i think the best of the 2nd round was the preacher cat but even he was not as good as ace dr and purpose from the first round

JP without a doubt. His bars were serious and his flow is on point. He’s on a whole ‘nother level compared to these other guys. It’s not even a question, JP killed it and you can hear the hunger in his voice, that dude needs to be put on ASAP. He went in on that and has got bars for dayssss.

The dude Carlos does kinda soundlike HOv but he was the best in round 2. He has the potential to go further than the rest of the MC’s on here. The others just sound like generic mixtape rappers.

It’s funny, you can always tell when rappers comment on their own stuff just to big themselves up when they should let the bars speak for them, lmao. Yall need to do better. Purpose sounded hot on that old Digga C.O.C. track. It was a good fit. That was the one I felt the most from round 1. I won’t speak on Round 2, unlike yall I’ll let the judges pick because in the end that is all that really matters.

Overall I think the comp in Round II is a lil weaker than round I, but I can say that each rapper brought something different to the table.
Carlos Ferragamo – Took in my opinion, the last beat of the four I would have chose and did his thing. I can’t see what kats on here are talking about with the HOV comparisons because besides the lines at the beginning and the end when he says “allow me to introduce myself, my name is…” he doesn’t really sound like Jay to me. Of the four he’s probably the one to mostly likely transition from underground to commercial. 8.5/10
B2 – I liked the fact that he went in on the beat. It’s raw and has that ‘everyone in the room doing a freestyle cypher’ feel. He got off a couple of punchlines, but kinda forced one or two like Nickelodeon line. All in all he sounds like he’d compliment someone’s mixtape with a hot feature. 7/10
Word The Preacha Mayne – This kat has a sick flo on this beat. He puts it down with that throwback hip hop feel from the early 90′s. He gives the track that old Luchini feel that takes me back. 8/10
JP – This kat has that gritty gangsta feel in his delivery that compliments the feel to this record. I got that murda, murda, kill, kill vibe from this dude but his voice definitely carries him over the top. He’s definitely not a lyricist but had some punchlines that got off. 8.5/10
No solid 10′s but like I said before each kat brings a different feel to the table. It is really all about the type of hip hop you listen to.

First round goes to Ace DR. Purpose had that Tragedy & Prodigy way of rhyming i cant fuck wit that. JP Murked this compition thus far the hunger set him apart from everybody else. B2 had good rhymes but his delivery was Dumb wack and i didnt like that preacher dude at all.

1st round: I would have to give it to Ace D.R.- his flow was aiight but there wasn’t that much competition for him
2nd round: I would give to the Preacher dude – I like how he puts his sentences together, not to mention his ol’ school feel

I think it would have been better if we all had the same beat to rap on so that you had to take the material @ face value meaning the lyrics (the bars). Plus, we don’t know what Digga is looking for in an artist (raw talent, com appeal, etc). Anyone can put together a battle rap w/ mad punchlines, but everyone is not a great song creator. I think that the quality is being dumbed down. I know I sent the highest quality mp3 possible. I dropped the verse @ a studio where they had pro tools HD. Would have sent a wave but waves rarely fit into an email attachment, lol.
