AZ is an Exhibitionist

As can be expected, AZ kills this with his patent descriptions of absolutely everything going on around him. Plus he knows how to get a post on WeGoinIN, so we can’t blame him for that.

SOUL TRAIN DANCER: A Tribute To Rosie Perez Sampler by Cyrano Sinatra

By junclassic, December 7, 2009 12:05 am

Wassup Good People of HipHop,

This is a open letter from ya boy, James Ebron (music name/alias Cyrano aka Cy Yung). Me and one of my music cohorts, Brian Mitchell (music name JSLIKK) are doing the damn thing this December, dropping our LONG OVERDUE MUCH ANTICIPATED EP Soul Train Dancer: A Tribute To Rosie Perez for FREE DOWNLOAD thru our Backpackers Anonymous blog (http://www.backpackers-anonymous.blogspot.com/) AND through various blogs who have befriended BPA and embraced the movement that we are trying to bring to music.

Let me say 1st, I am no salesman. I don’t shimmy, step-n-fetch, barter, or even push for your support. I feel that my music (IF LISTENED TO) does that, just as A MILLI other emcees do. The difference wit me is that I follow what I believe, even to a fault, because I will sacrifice all that comes with being a HipHop superstar if it means bobbing my head to get my 10 or 15 minutes. I walked into this game on my feet, I WILL LEAVE ON MY FEET>

I understand that once immersed into HipHop, as most ARTISTS are, this thing of ours becomes a bizness, and its all too important to stand out, show out, be different, embrace competition, etc. But its something about us North Carolina artists, I cant explain it. But we get overlooked, lumped together and plain out DISSED for no gotdamn reason so much to the point we feel like we will NEVER overcome 3 things: 1)the stereotypical hick from NC in the movie “The Wood,” 2) Petey Pablo, and 3) 9th Wonder
We are a state searching for identity, but at the same time, we are presenting u with quality music on the level with all of the artists/regions that you are promoting as “NEXT”. So as we proceed…

With that said, we present the SOUL TRAIN DANCER: A Tribute To Rosie Perez sampler + desktop wallpaper tiles/promo art as we finalize the project for its OFFICIAL December 15, 2009 release.

Download it, LISTEN, and then judge. I’m sure your ears will tell you what I may not be able to…Backpackers Anonymous is dropping DOPE MUSIC…always have, and we ALWAYS WILL! And FEEL FREE to post it, forward it or pass it along to any HipHop fans u may know…

Oh, and checkout whats being said about the sampler, our “artwork,” and all things BPA in general…ROFLMBFAO

To all the emcees that got on this project with me, OR Madicinal Libationz, OR any UPCOMING music that I put out, AND to all producers that HAVE worked with me or are CURRENTLY working with me, THANKS A MILLION! Your support speaks VOLUMES, irregardless of what the naysayers say, I CANT STOP/WONT STOP! 2009 Til Infinity…CY

Loser of the Day: Tim Tebow

I liked dude until he started showing signs of being a Jonas Brother. You’re real weak man. You got exposed – you’re at best a 4th rounder. I know you thought you were BCS bound, but hey, you’re just not that good.

Disgraces To Team Jordan

You figure team jordan would have players with some clout. Granted, Ray Allen, Derek Jeter, Dwayne Wade, and CP3,fit the bill, but what about these bums…

Bum # 1

Yo son – i really thought you was the man. You were in a movie kid! What happened?! Guess you were blazing the wrong things in Portland son.

Bum #2

Bum #2

Shout out Mike D’antoni – the shittest but realest coach in the league. I remember how he was poking fun at Q-Rich & Eddy Curry being overweight in the locker room. Him & Jerome James used to share personal pizzas before the games. No wonder you got no playing time. D-wade’s lackey.

Bum # 3

Only thing you’re good at – smiling for the camera. Besides passing on the court, you were passing the butter to Al Harrington at breakfast. Pouring our orange juices man. You’re why Lebron won’t come.

Bobby Sims playing for the worse team in the league. 1-18. Didn’t help his team get the one victory but sure did help get those 18 losses. Some people shouldn’t suck in life, but unfortunately, they do.

Even Bestselling Authors Have an Opinion on Beanie Sigel

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

You’d think the author of The Shining and Kudjoe would have more on his mind than dissing Beanie Sigel, but the times are a’changin’. And you’d think calling Beanie Sigel a “bean sprout” would be a clue for the engineer to shut the session down and make some sort of excuse for having to vacate the studio immediately.

Turkey Day 2009

As my man LP says, Happy Geneocide Celebration Day!

Hope you stuffed ya belly so much you caught the ITUS and woke up drooling on yaself in front of ya lil niece.

So I was reading the AM Paper (Free Paper cats hand out in Manhattan) and I read about this cat on the D train 2 saturdays ago.

Buss how sunn sunn stabbed a dude in the NECK witta STEAK KNIFE in front of maad passengers!

Think it happened at like 8:30 pm? Either way Dude dropped and died right there.

Homie that bodied the dude was forced to stay in the car with the passengers (aka WITNESSES) after cops decided to close and lock the train doors to keep dude inside the train car.

They said homey calmy sat in his seat till the “boys” came and snatched him.

Now if I was in that maf*ckin train car and they closed them doors wit me inside that b*tch?

Sheeiiiit…

I mighta asked dude “dude you KNOW sunn sunn you just jigged in the NECK?”

Then again, i mighta just pulled out my rhyme book and and simply documented another day on the NYC Subway.

In other words kept my maf*ckin mouf shut…

I hope no kids were on that train to peep that sh*t.

Stay Up

Crime Pays (for us)

By seven3zero, August 24, 2009 4:07 pm

cam

Ever since I copped the last copy of Crime Pays at Target I’ve been banging Cam’s latest opus religiously. Either it’s his systematic ignorance that’s completely undoing everything my mother taught me over the last 25 years or the simple fact that he really will poop in a girl’s car (It’s a Saab, oh God) that makes it the only disc getting play in the last week. I know, I know, that crazy guy Eminem just dropped another album and a Freeway album dropped (supposedly) and there’s all sorts of fresh talent I should be listening to, but honestly, I haven’t been able to pull myself away from Crime Pays the same way N.O.R.E. can’t pull himself away from Twitter (N.O., I’m with you on that whole spell-check being stupid thing).

From talking about Yoo-Hoo coming out of girls’ butts to the kkk, Cam serves up a healthy, heaping serving of straight up ignorance on Crime Pays. Now it’s up to us to find the crown jewel of ignorance while sifting through all his semi-intelligible lines. Wish me luck.

A Different Kind of Homage To The Classics

By JPizzle, August 23, 2009 1:32 pm

I fell in love with hip hop through skateboarding. Here’s a clip from the illest skateboard video ever Plan B’s Virtual Reality that had Hieroglyphics tracks all throughout it. Souls of Mischief plus early 90’s skateboarding equals a true homage to the classics!

Each day we’re harassing N.O.R.E. with a question. The question can be about anything and everything and we’re going to print N.O.R.E.’s response exactly as he sends it back. If you have any questions you’d like the one and only N.O. to answer, leave ‘em in the comment box.

Seriously, M.O.P.’s music is better than any drug for curing pretty much anything. They can have autotune on a track and be damn sure we ain’t saying shit!

Oh and shout out to 730 who played “Ante Up” not once but TWICE at his wedding. Now that is gangsta!

Luney Tunez Bringing Back High-Grade Lyricism

Whoo! If you’re not up on this, you need to be! And I quote:

I’m a Black boy, I’m a fat boy/
You lookin’ at me, I got them stacks, boy.

Because I’m white and I run about 70 miles a week, can I still sing along? This music just speaks to me in a way music has never spoken to me before.

It continues:

Comin’ down clean in the ‘Lac with the bass/
Extended tee, .44 in the waist/
I’m a futuristic fat boy, icy like a polar bear/
My chain’s so big and chunky it don’t matter what I wear/
I’m fat boy certified, weighing two-sixty-five/
Gucci, Louie, Prada on my body, call it homicide/
‘Cuase I’m killin’ ‘em, groupies I be drillin’ em/
DJ Brad and Luney Tunez, errbody feelin’ them.

I don’t know about errbody, but I am certainly feeling them. How can you not when they stay icy like a polar bear? Polar bears are icy ‘cause they live in the North Pole, right, and there’s ice there, right? That’s a genius connection. Plus he’s fat boy certified at only 265, which seems kind of low to be officially certified. It seems like you could get a provisional license if you make sufficient gains to reach 300. Plus these guys are causing deaths just by wearing fruity designer clothing. You can’t go wrong here. Drop the album already!
