So it looks like something shady may have went down over an unreleased Rhymefest track that had a Jadakiss verse on it. We can’t say for certain, but Rhymefest alleges that Cookin’ Soul jacked the song and made it a St. Laz featuring Jadakiss track. St. Laz responds with a diss track. And it’s here. Cookin’ Soul just put together a whole mixtape devoted to Michael Jackson, which will probably feature some dumb blends and whatnot. Look, these gimmick mixtapes have got to stop. This mixtape is less about MJ and more about other people getting their names out there as producers. If I want to remember Michael Jackson’s musical legacy, I’ll listen to Michael Jackson’s music. Uh oh. We just got an email from producers Cookin’ Soul about some rapper stealing their beats. Apparently dude made a song called “Skinny Jeans” over one of their tracks without their permission. Yeah, that’s a horrible look. I can completely understand why they’re pissed. Now if he made a song called “Basketball Shorts” it would be another story. I love up and coming Spanish producers Cookin Soul. Although formulaic, they usually bring the heat. However, they have made some questionable industry connections. Case in point they produced two new tracks on Soulja Boy’s upcoming Gangsta Grillz Mixtape. Questions; Does this now mean that Soulja Boy has good taste?
