I was kind of mortified the first time I heard/saw the Kreayshawn’s “Gucci Gucci” (though admittedly it’s an oddly catchy song and features the quotable “Swag coming out my ovaries.”) so I feel where this opinion piece is coming from. Who would of thought this much could be written about the term swag? I guess the author really needed to get something to his editors pronto. I love people read waaaay too much into hip hop phenomenon.
You may remember this summer when this rapper was proclaimed The Swagger General. Well, it looks like he has been demoted in the swagger ranks, as Slip N Slide wants to dub him “The New Generation of Swag.” Needless to say, that title packs a lot less punch than being the actual factual general of all things swagger.
